TALLY POLICY

Monthly Tuition

  • Lessons are billed monthly and are due on the 1st of each month.

  • Payment must be pre-paid for the entire month to secure lesson times.

  • Monthly rates:

    • $600 for a standard 4-lesson month

    • $750 for months with 5 lessons

  • If you own your own horse, a $150 discount will be applied for monthly lessons

  • If you own your own horse, a $200 discount will be applied for summer horse camp sessions

  • A $150 sibling discount are applied to any 4-day camps

  • Cash

  • Check to Tally Riding Academy LLC

Late or partial payments may result in suspension of lessons until the account is paid in full.

30-Day Notice to Discontinue

  • A 30-day written notice is required to discontinue lessons.

  • Tuition is still due during the 30-day notice period, whether lessons are attended or not.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused lessons during this time.


 

Lesson Cancellation Policy

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

  • Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed lessons (“no-shows”), will be charged in full and no makeup lesson will be provided.

  • Cancellations due to weather, horse-related issues, or instructor availability will be handled at the discretion of Tally Riding Academy and may be rescheduled when possible.

No Rollovers

  • Lessons do not roll over month to month.

  • Missed lessons for reasons outside of instructor cancellation are forfeited.

 

Dress Code & Safety Requirements

All riders and visitors must be dressed in barn-appropriate attire at all times.

Required Attire:

  • Closed-toe shoes at all times

  • Long pants or jeans

  • Proper riding attire that allows safe movement

Not Permitted:

  • Shorts

  • Dresses or skirts

  • Sandals or open-toed shoes

  • Excessively loose or flowy shirts

  • Crop tops or revealing clothing

Additional Notes:

  • Sports bras are highly recommended for female riders for comfort and support.

  • By the second month of lessons, all riders are required to have:

    • Proper western riding boots

    • A properly fitted, ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmet

Boots may be purchased at Boot Barn, and helmets at Dover Saddlery or equivalent equestrian retailers.

 

Non-Compliance:

  • If a rider arrives without appropriate riding attire, the lesson will be considered a cancellation.

  • No makeup lesson will be offered

  • Under no circumstances will a lesson proceed if the rider is not properly dressed for safety reasons.

Parent & Spectator Policy

  • Parents and spectators must remain in designated areas unless instructed otherwise.

  • No interference with lessons, horses, or instructors.

  • Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the premises.

 

Horse Assignment Policy

  • Horse assignments are determined solely by Tally Riding Academy staff.

  • Horse changes may occur at any time for safety, training, or welfare reasons.

  • Requests are welcome but not guaranteed.

 

Behavior & Conduct Policy

  • Riders are expected to treat horses, staff, and fellow riders with kindness and respect.

  • Unsafe behavior, disrespect, or refusal to follow instructions may result in lesson termination without refund.

 

Liability & Assumption of Risk

  • All riders and guests must have a signed Tally/Ranch liability waiver on file before participating & upon entry of property
